Vocabulary to review before the worksheet
Examples from the topic vocabulary: car, bus, train, bicycle, motorcycle, scooter. The words on a generated worksheet depend on your selected settings.
Before you print: introduce the topic
Draw a simple journey between two imaginary places. Ask learners which vehicles could be used for different parts of the journey, then review their English names. Keep the places fictional so that learners do not need to share where they live or their daily route.
Use the worksheet in your lesson
Introduce the words before using the worksheet as retrieval practice. In matching or sentence gaps, ask learners to identify a clue about how or where a vehicle moves. In a word search, return to pronunciation and meaning after the spellings have been found.
Follow up with speaking or listening
Pairs can suggest two different ways to make the imaginary journey and explain a choice using language they already know. For a less demanding version, let them point to or list the vehicles before making a short sentence about the trip.
Choose support for your learners
The activity is vocabulary practice rather than transport safety instruction. Select the number of items for your group and use the separate answer key to review unclear meanings before asking for independent work.
